16 ounces Crisco (by weight, not volume)
2.5 ounces Red Devil Lye (by weight, not volume)
1 cup Distilled water
Time in molds: 24 hours
Ageing time: 3 weeks.
Color and fragrance of choice, or you can leave natural. Do not use food coloring in soaps! This soap does not lather much, but makes a wonderful bath soap.
