The Pale Pickle Frog

by Ashley Gayle Pickle

Hi, my name is Ashley Gayle Pickle and I am going to tell you about being a Scientist. Being a Scientist is fun but it is very challenging. Do you know how I know so munch (sp) about being a scientist? Well in 1960, I found a weird looking frog, it looked so pale and so tiny. I mailed the science lab about the frog. The next week I got a letter from them; they wanted me to go to Austin. Of coures (sp) I would have to go on a plane and I hate planes. I would have to leave tonight.

I started to pack the frog and my stuff. By the time I was done it was time to go. I yelled for a taxi and I asked him to drive me to the airport.

When I got there I got on my plane and was on my way to Austin. In 30 minutes I was in Austin. I found my way to the lab. I had my frog with me, of croures (sp). When I showed them they all said I was going to be famous. They gave me a job being a scientist. They named my particular frog species the "pale pickle frog" after me; and the USA gave me a check for $300,000 dollars for finding a new species. I worked at the lab for 6 years then I retired. I had enough money to last me.
